Actively promoting school-enterprise cooperation between enterprises and universities, more than 100 enterprises have conducted school-enterprise cooperation with universities and research institutions in Wuhan.

In the high-tech zone, more than half of the enterprises are grassroots enterprises that have grown through independent innovation and incubation. A technological innovation system with enterprises as the main body, market orientation, and the combination of production, learning, and research has been improved, cultivating a number of internationally and domestically renowned products such as Dayu Electric and Demei Company. A total of more than 160 enterprises have been incubated and graduated.

Independent innovation, the key is people. From attracting talent to retaining talent, the high-tech zone has introduced a series of incentive measures. Through the Huaiyin Talent Plan, attracting masters and doctors, encouraging various talents to innovate and start businesses in the high-tech zone. A one-time innovation subsidy of 100,000 to 200,000 yuan is given to high-level talents introduced to the city's high-tech zone. Conducting pilot employee system, recruiting 23 talents nationwide. Currently, more than 900 experts in the city's high-tech zone enjoy special government allowances, and there are 6 academician expert workstations and 2 postdoctoral workstations.

In today's high-tech zone, 80% of scientific research institutions are in enterprises, 85% of scientific research personnel are in enterprises, 90% of scientific research investment comes from enterprises, 85% of enterprises have their own patents, 95% of scientific and technological innovation achievements are generated in enterprises, and 40% of industrial output value is created by high-tech enterprises.
